Global Offshore and Marine Pte Ltd (GOM) is part of the Globalone Group of Companies set up in 2006 to do contracting work for the offshore and marine industry.Our speciality is in the Marine Interior Accommodation Systems and Accommodation Modules, encompassing the complete structural (Superstructures/ Deskhouses & Modules) & Interior Architectural Packages.


ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

1) 2 x E&I Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the electrical and control system design.
  • Provide technical support to Sales, Production and Commissioning Department.
  • Work closely with other disciplines.
  • Design and drafting of the Electrical Circuit Diagram and Arrangement Drawing using electrical CAD software.
  • Preparation of Bill Of Material, Test Procedure and Operation Manual.
  • Providing technical evaluation and cost estimation for new sales enquiries.
  • Providing technical support for testing and commissioning work onsite.
  • Participation in R&D project electrical and control system design.
  • Occasional survey for post-delivery project (only one required out of 2).

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in electrical and control system design for marine and offshore equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive selection.
  • Good skill in AUTOCAD or other electrical CAD software drafting.
  • Knowledge on PLC programming and Industrial field bus application.
  • Knowledge of marine classification is an advantage.

2) 2 x Structural engineer

Responsibilities

  • To have experience design topsides for Jack up, Semi-Submersible, FPSO.
  • Has participated in big LQ refurbishment & re-activation of Jack up and post delivery works.
  • Experienced in Finite Element Analysis, Site Investigation and Structural modelling Ability in design, calculation and modeling.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Marine) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Maritime industry esp in Offshore Oil and Gas
  • Excellent in Offshore design codes and familiar in ANSYS Software
  • Able to work late as necessary and urgency of project


3) 1x Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

  • To support construction sites issues.
  • Communicate with clients, classification societies and statutory bodies on matters related to piping design requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance to project team members on the rules and regulations to be observed for each system and equipment.
  • Design marine systems PID and sizing of pipes & prepare MTO.
  • Select appropriate materials for pipes, valves etc.
  • Plan drawings and isometric drawings schedules.
  • Check vendors' drawings and equip certified documents.
  • Conduct site checks if required.
  • Check arrangement and pipe support drawings.
  • Design pipe supports.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Lead a team of designers and Assistant Engineers.
  • Providing technical evaluation and cost estimation for new sales enquiries.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant experience in marine / oil and gas industry would be an added advantage.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in basic piping design aspects.
  • Able to work late as necessary and urgency of project.


4) 1x Accommodation Outfitting/Project Engineer

Responsibilities

  • To possess knowledge of interior design.
  • To review and check all drawings under his/her charge and to resolve site problems when the need arises.
  • To possess knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to architecture outfittings.
  • To perform technical review of vendor quotations.
  • To be familiar with contract specification, rules and regulations.
  • To prepare Plan Progress Schedule (PPS) and monitor the progress of drawing.
  • To supervise draftsmen and communicate effectively with other engineers, vendors, owner’s staffs and classification societies.
  • To interact with customer, vendors and regulatory bodies on design matters.
  • To be cost and schedule conscious at all times when handling project activities
  • Able to work late as necessary and urgency of project

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Civil / Marine & Offshore Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Good leadership, planning, organising and interpersonal skill


5) 1x Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with the Client.
  • Project and worksite co-ordination between office and clients / Contractors.
  • Plan, monitor and supervise project progresses.
  • Providing technical evaluation and cost estimation for new sales enquiries.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Provide clear guidance to project team members on the rules and regulations to be observed for each system and equipment.
  • Plan drawings and isometric drawings schedules for duct routing.

Requirements

  • Must possess 5 years and above experience in Marine and Oil & Gas RHVAC.
  • Able to perform heat load calculation.
  • Able to perform air ventilation balancing.
  • Propose HVAC system to the vessel and oil rig.
  • Propose upgrading and improvement on the HVAC existing system.
  • Source and propose the type of AC to use.
  • Able to go on board of vessel and oil rig offshore.


SUPPLY CHAIN DEPARTMENT

For this department:

  • Working hours: 08:00 – 17:30, alternate Saturday off
  • Reporting to supply chain manager

1) 1x Purchasing Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledgement and expedite of Orders.
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding all purchase orders status.
  • Liaise and verify with Account Department regarding invoices.
  • Updating of purchase reports.
  • Other office administrative work.
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned.

Requirements

  • O-levels is acceptable. At least 1-2 years’experience is preferred.


2) 1x Store Co-ordinator(stationed in store)

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of cargo for delivery, local & overseas.
  • Monitor store movements. Eg. Inventory level, Goods Received, Storage, etc.
  • Conduct year-end stock take.
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned.
  • Computer literate

Requirements

  • O-levels is acceptable. At least 1-2 years’experience is preferred.


3) 1x Procurement Officer

Responsibilities

  • To purchase materials & services to support production activities.
  • To maintain & establish a supplier base and control the database.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on lead time, cost and quality.
  • Drive and execute cost reduction activities to meet targets

Requirements

  • Experience in similar role for at least 3 years, preferably in purchasing piping or structural materials.
  • At least diploma
